Salary range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience; academic year (nine-month basis)

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for two Assistant Professor positions. We are seeking candidates who have made contributions to our knowledge on the roles of stem cells in development and/or disease by using endogenous stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), organoids or other stem cell models. We also seek candidates who study fundamental aspects of the immune system using cell-based models, organoids, and animal models. Successful candidates will be offered a competitive start-up package and join a vibrant community of stem cell researchers, immunologists, and molecular biologists who are organized in the Center for the Molecular Biology of RNA, the Institute for the Biology of Stem Cells, and the Genomics Institute.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

A Ph.D. and/or M.D. (or equivalent foreign degree) in fields relevant to the biomedical sciences, a minimum of 1 year of postdoctoral experience at the time of applying.
