Position Summary:
Summer Internship - Family & Consumer Sciences

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have completed a minimum of 12 credits within the last year (these 12 credits may come from high school dual enrollment credits) and are currently enrolled at one of the following eight Idaho public universities or colleges (private Idaho universities or colleges do not qualify). Priority will be given to UI student applicants.

Must provide own transportation and have the ability to travel to multiple work sites. University will follow applicable policies if personal vehicle is used, which may include reimbursement at a pre-established rate.

Preferred Qualifications:
Completed coursework in Family & Consumer Sciences, agriculture, Horticulture, Biology, Environmental Science, Food Systems or other relevant subject areas.

Outgoing and comfortable working with the public and volunteers (youth and adults).

Self-motivated and can work independently.

Enjoys working in a variety of settings and environments with diverse audiences.

Experience answering phones, responding to email and communicating through social media outlets.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 25 lbs.
